Knee Friendly Lifting Alternatives!

Hip hinge- Bend forward at your hips with a slight bend in your knees, keeping your back straight.  

Mini lunge- Stand in a stride stance and bend both knees to lower yourself down toward the ground.  This requires less knee bending than squatting.

Golfer’s lift- Stand near something to hold onto for balance.  Slightly bend your stance leg and bring your other leg straight back behind you as you bend forward (like a golfer taking a ball out of the hole). This motion requires very little knee bending and is safe for your back.
