First, What Is Dry Needling?
Dry needling uses thin, sterile needles inserted into muscle or connective tissue to relieve pain and tension. Despite the word needle, this isn’t like getting a shot. There's no medication involved (hence “dry”) and most patients barely feel the needles go in.
It’s a simple way to help tight muscles release, improve blood flow, and calm irritated nerves all of which can be incredibly helpful in the postpartum phase.

Pelvic Floor Support (Yes, Really!)
While dry needling isn’t usually done directly into the pelvic floor (we’ll cross that bridge if and when it's necessary), it can target surrounding areas that affect pelvic health like the inner thighs, glutes, and deep hip rotators. What It Feels Like
You might feel a little twitch or a dull ache for a few seconds when the needle hits a trigger point this is totally normal and means the muscle is releasing. Afterward, you may feel sore (like a post-workout soreness) but most people notice a major drop in tension and pain right away.
