Meet Our Team

Krystle Howald, PT, DPT

Owner & head jokester; Always has 15 tabs open in her brain & computer

In 2014, Krystle launched Empower Movement Physical Therapy the scrappy way; armed with nothing more than her car, a treatment table, and a bag of “torture tools.” Now has the pleasure of working in a clinic with some of the most talented physical therapist. She built a clinic where care > codes and you start feeling better day one. Loves to get to the root causes: the kind of PT who thrives on chasing down the sneaky source of pain that shows up far from where you actually feel it. Because the body loves to compensate in clever patterns.

She trained out west at Regis University (CO), a PT program known for strong manual therapy and hands-on care, and she brings that elbow-grease energy to every session plus a clear plan you can actually use between visits.

Krystle treats both orthopedics and women’s health, with a special passion for helping women regain strength and confidence after having kids whether it’s been months or decades. With over 14 years of pelvic floor therapy experience and advanced training in dry needling, prenatal/postpartum care, visceral manipulation, TMJ, breathing restoration, and corrective exercise, she focuses on getting to the root cause so you can move, feel, and live better.

Off Duty: Krystle is married to Tom, who has been a huge help in bringing the physical clinic to life. The clinic hustle is real, but the real hustle begins the minute she walks in the door as mom to Brooke, Avery, and Camden. Love exploring and traveling with them. She feels most like herself when she’s outside. Whether on the water, in the mountains, or simply moving her body. Boating, paddle boarding, hiking, running, and working out fuel her energy (former track athlete, now a “recovering compulsive exerciser”).

Translation: Come as you are. Bring your story. Krystle will bring the jokes, the manual skills, and the map back to the things you love.

Sarah Rubatt, PT, DPT

The brainiac of all things women’s health

I’ve been a part of the EMPT crew since 2019! Using manual therapy and exercise, I want to provide every patient with powerful tools to promote recovery and meet their goals. I love working in a private practice setting so I can provide dedicated focus on each patient. My interests are orthopedic spine and upper/lower extremity rehab, as well as pelvic floor rehabilitation. I’ve been a pelvic floor therapist my entire 10+ year career and enjoy helping individuals to optimize this aspect of their health. My advanced training includes dry needling, corrective exercise, prenatal and postpartum care, visceral manipulation, TMJ treatment, joint mobilization/manipulation, myofascial release, and neurodynamic mobilization.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology in 2011 and then from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2014.

Off Duty: My personal interests include spending time with my family, cooking, cheering on the Badgers, traveling (especially to my hometown of St. Paul, MN), running, weight-lifting, and going to Pilates. My husband Matt and I live in Brookfield with our three daughters (Ava, Lucy, and Mia) and our big black labrador, “Sally”.

Jamie Greisinger, PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN

Master of tricky patterns, queen of quick results

After many childhood and sports related injuries, I discovered how important it is to have a physical therapist that is compassionate, hands-on and listens to the patient’s complaints and goals. I have worked in many settings and fell in love with the outpatient private practice setting where I am not restricted by insurance limitations and can see patients one-on-one.

I am passionate about caring for the entire individual, utilizing a full-body approach to treatment that empowers patients to get back to what they love to do. I incorporate dry needling, visceral manipulation, cupping, blood flow restriction training, and rehab Pilates into sessions. I have taken many courses through the Institute of Physical Art to enhance my functional manual therapy skills. More recently, I have enjoyed seeing improvements from treating the vagus nerve on patients with symptoms following COVID, breathing issues, jaw pain, car accidents, post-pregnancy and high stress levels. My interests lie in the rehabilitation of orthopedic conditions of the spine and upper/lower extremities and helping those who want to return to their desired sport/exercise program. I enjoy collaborating with local gyms, dentists and healthcare providers to ensure my patients obtain the best care.

I graduated from UW- Eau Claire with a major in Biology and Pre-professional Health and received my doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from UW-Lacrosse in 2017.

Off Duty: Spending time with my sweet baby Isla and My husband, Jordan. Right now I am just happy to get sleep but usually enjoy weight lifting, hiking, and traveling. I have a cat (Mischka), and a Golden Retriever (Summer).

Jena DeLisle, PT, DPT, CMPT

Half sass, half science, all results.

My passion is in helping others through physical therapy and treating the whole body because let’s face it, everything is connected! I have extensive experience in outpatient orthopedics with a passion for continued learning in areas such as manual therapy, dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, cupping, and women’s pelvic health. My own personal experience as a mother and postpartum woman led me to specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy. It’s an honor to empower other mothers during this transformative stage in their lives. My compassion and outgoing personality contribute to a positive and supportive environment for all of my patients on their healing journey.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I continued my education at Clarke University in Dubuque, IA and received my Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2012.

Off Duty: I enjoy spending time with my family, participating in outdoor activities ranging from running to kayaking, and most importantly reading a good book with a strong cup of coffee in my hands.

Lindsay Oksiuta, MPT, HSP

Back problems fear her. Patients love her.

During graduate school I was fascinated with the spine and knew early on that I wanted to pursue a career in this area. I participated in an independent spine study at UW- Research Park Spine Center which solidified my decision to work in this field. After graduating with a degree in Physical Therapy at UW-Madison, I went to work in a Spine Clinic treating both acute and chronic neck and back pain, while also receiving referrals for vertigo patients. My sweet secretary at the time scheduled a patient with Multiple Sclerosis with me “by accident,” which led to a very unique love of treating both orthopedic back pain in addition to central nervous system disorders leading to core weakness, among other neurological deficits, and secondary back pain. This interest led to me pursuing a certification in treating Multiple Sclerosis. While treating both peripheral and central nervous system deficits contributing to back and neck pain, I began to see the importance of “righting” both the musculoskeletal system as well as the nervous system in all patients before addressing the secondary symptoms.

After 19 years of treating patients, I find that I am the most passionate and most skilled in treating patients with chronic or acute back, neck, and SI joint dysfunction, vertigo due to vestibular dysfunction, and Multiple Sclerosis management. I focus mainly on manual therapy to realign the spine, neuromuscular re-education, neural mobilization, posture and body mechanic education and training and soft tissue mobilization as it relates to treatment of the spine, repositioning techniques and vestibular habituation training for vertigo, and appropriate strengthening, balance training, and energy conservation techniques for those with Multiple Sclerosis.

Off Duty: I am married to my best friend and have 3 very unique children. We are always on the go with 2 boys in baseball and basketball and a daughter who loves to dance and ride horses. We are active in our church and very passionate about leading others in Bible study. We also love to travel.

Taylor, Clinic Manager

Clinic chaos coordinator, dog whisperer, one of a kind

Taylor has been the heartbeat of our clinic since 2022, keeping everything (and everyone! Esp Krystle) running smoothly behind the scenes. As our Clinic Manager, she wears many hats; overseeing the PTs’ schedules, managing day-to-day operations, and making sure our patients and staff have everything they need to thrive.

Quite simply: Taylor runs the show. We honestly don’t know what we’d do without her, so be nice to her, because we definitely need her!

Her organization, attention to detail, a little bit of OCD (that benefits us) and ability to juggle a million moving pieces keep our clinic flowing seamlessly. Beyond logistics, she brings warmth, approachability while makes patients and staff feel supported the moment they walk in the door.

Off-Duty: Taylor and her husband, Andy, share their home in Hartland with their beloved rescue dog, Glenn. A true animal lover at heart, Taylor lights up around pets of all kinds. In fact, we always know there’s a dog in the clinic when Taylor’s voice shifts into her signature high-pitched “puppy talk.”

When she’s not keeping the clinic running, you’ll likely find her curled up with a good book, trying out new restaurants, or spending quality time with friends and family. She’s also currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Nonprofit Management, further fueling her passion for leadership and service.

Michelle Tollakson

The human lie detector for your body.
Good luck hiding compensation patterns!

(March 1st, 2026 - good things are worth the wait)

I love to move and I love to learn—especially when it comes to helping the body stay strong and resilient. My goal is to keep you doing the activities you love while we manage pain together. I’m passionate about building your threshold and resiliency so pain becomes less likely to return.

I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2016 and have spent the past eight years specializing in sports medicine, oncology, and orthopedics with pediatric and young adult populations. I’m excited to bring that knowledge forward to treat individuals of all ages.

I enjoy working with the shoulders, upper back, hips, knees, ankles, and feet, as well as helping patients recover from dizziness, concussions, endurance sports injuries, and CrossFit-related issues. My approach combines manual therapy techniques and dry needling with whole-body care—addressing not just your symptoms, but also stress, sleep, and exercise routines. I believe in collaboration and creating a plan that supportsyour body and lifestyle as a whole.

Off Duty: My husband and I are from Wisconsin and are excited to move back with our two kids - Penelope and Rowan. We named our dog Badger and are excited to bring her to her name state.
